How to Build a Gardener’s First Aid Kit
Accidents can happen, even with the utmost precautions. Therefore, it’s essential to have a basic understanding of first aid techniques. Consider taking a first aid course or keeping a first aid kit in your gardening shed. Be prepared to treat minor cuts, bruises, and insect stings promptly to prevent complications. Its not always possible to avoid itchy situations or splinters, that’s why it’s important to keep a well stocked first aid kit ready to access.
Things to include in the gardener’s first aid kit:
- BandAids
- Benadryl Anti-Itch Cream
- Neosporin First Aid Cream
- BenGay
- Tweezers
- Fever Reducer/Pain Reliever
Store Your First Aid Kit
To keep all my first aid supplies in a convenient, organized space I use an old baseball card box. You could also use a craft or fishing tackle box. This allows me to see what’s inside as well as stay just a bit more organized.
